Best of Mexico Casa Mexico Foundation and Canada Mexico Chamber of Business, with the support of the Mexican community in Calgary, are very proud to present for the 3rd time “The Best of Mexico” at Calgary Stampede Parade. In 2012, the Mexican Float was awarded with the best cultural entry by Calgary Stampede.
The Mexican Float represents the commonalities between Mexico and Canada and Calgary Stampede. Both countries share a past with the rodeo tradition, which in Mexico is called Charreada. It also represents the present, with Mexico as a top tourism destination for Canadians and retirees; finally, it represents the future with a dynamic and growing relationship between Canada and Mexico represented by a talented community, and diverse business and cultural activities happening every day. Canada and Mexico celebrate 70 years of relationships this year 2014.
This year, the Mexican float main theme is dedicated to Mazatlán, Sinaloa, one of the most attractive touristic destinations in Mexico that is visited by many Canadians every year.
We did it again! The Mexico entry won "best cultural entry" at the greatest outdoor show on earth, Calgary stampede!
Special recognition to Miguel Cortines and Laura Kanter, Canada- Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Casa México, the state of Sinaloa and beautiful Mazatlan, and to all our sponsors and support organizations! !
