CUSMEX promotes agricultural sustainability in North America during its Seventh Work Tour
The Canada-U.S.-Mexico Chamber of International Commerce (CUSMEX) has successfully concluded its Seventh Work Tour, which focused on laying the foundations for an ambitious project to export tomatoes and other agricultural products intended to supply the various channels of marketing in Canada. This joint effort between the three member countries of the Mexico-United States-Canada Treaty (USMCA) reflects a firm commitment to agrarian sustainability in the region.
Through the North American Marketing Program, CUSMEX has managed to promote collaboration and cooperation between the commercial sectors of the three countries. During this Seventh Working Tour, House and Chamber representatives have met with key players in the food and agriculture industry in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The objective of these meetings was to establish the bases for the development of an export project for tomatoes and other agricultural products that meet the quality, safety and sustainability standards demanded by the Canadian market.
The shared vision of the CUSMEX presidents demonstrates a solid commitment to agrarian sustainability in the USMCA region. This project will not only promote greater trade flow in North America, but will also contribute to strengthening the supply chain, generating employment and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
CUSMEX will continue to work closely with producers and industry players to ensure their success and contribute to the consolidation of a stronger and more sustainable USMCA region.
